Video of World War II 1911 Replica

One word: OUCH!!!!

Here's a video on my Springfield Armory 1911-A1, Mil Spec, great to have a replica of the World War II warhorse, but I can definitely do without the hammer bite.

A - you left off tiny little sights too. I really don't cotton to them much.

But, I do like SA products. My full size lightweight if off for revision currently.

No, actually, that was the first thing I mentioned.

Wow, what a difference modern sights make!

My SA Loaded had to be returned to the factory, twice, for repairs. I know everyone says how great SA's customer service is, I'd prefer they get it right the first time.

Plus, I ditched the ILS and the two piece guide rod and I don't want/need the ambi-safety.

The SA Range Officer is the 1911 I recommend to people looking for a SA 1911.

I mean, that is, if they don't want to get the Ruger SR1911.

If you get hammer bite with the Mil Spec you can fit a Smith & Alexander beavertail. I did this one along with the commander hammer and trigger. I was bored.....

Thanks,

I almost went the other direction and fitted a wide spur hammer. I always wanted to do that.

I'll just probably hang in there with the original design.
