Hello,

If you could have all the semi-automatic pistols that you wanted, but, they could only be chambered for one of the above listed cartridges, which one would you pick & why?

Thanks For Your Votes & Replies,

I hope I don't sound like a wet blanket and I really do think that mind set and attitude count a lot more than caliber but it might be good to recall that Gen. George A. Custer had confidence: "We've got 'em now boys!"

Confidence is critical...but it is not everything ;)

Just musing,
Have a great day!

Roger that, Mr. Higginbotham. Confidence and a lot of ammunition can go a long way, though! :)

Ironically I don't have a 9mm..nor do I plan on one in the future..I do have two .45s and a .40..I was very tempted to vote for the .22lr
I love my .45's, but the .40 is simply becoming too popular to ignore as a survivalist. I like having what LEO's have, it tends to be easier to find. As for the 9mm, I just don't trust it in FMJ's, and I always try to look at the full range of ammo as I can't be sure I won't get stuck with the worst possible loads.

The 10mm is a "do-it-all" cartridge! Learn to live with it!

Love that I choose the .40 anything you can do I can do better. But yep it's true, I'd go with the .40, From a defensisive standpoint I dont think it makes a hole lotta difference but would probably err on bigger is better, But from a sporting side, with the .40 rules, Wanna shoot IDPA download it lighten the recoil spring wanna make IPSC shoot factory or load full power for major, In limited it gives you the most capacity and still legal for major, wanna shoot bowling pins ? good to go there as well, I even have an Lframe S&W .40 and guess what I am using on carbine matches ? If your confined to factory ammo though you cant beat the price of 9mm. But it is nowhere as versatile
