I recently received a P38 from my father-in-law, who's had it for the past 15-20 yrs and hasnt been fired since. He doesnt know much about the gun.
Markings :
Left side of slide:
Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do. P38 cal. 9mm
Right side :
Distributed by INTERARMS Alexandria/Virginia USA
Frame: Made in West Germany

Its obviously a post WWII issue w/ a short barrel. All blue w/ black plastic grips. Anybody know anything about this gun? Value, history Reliability...etc..
Thanks

Hi there,

The Blue Book of Gun Values would be the best source of information for this gun. Since Interarms has been out of business for several years, there may be a source of information available with a web search on this pistol.

Of the several examples I have shot and handled, the P-1 post war aluminum frame and the recent WWII imports have been favorable.
