Hello,

I saw this on my Brownell's e-flyer and thought I would share it with you folks who don't subscribe to it.

It is a manufacturer of aftermarket Glock Aluminum and Stainless Steel frames by CCF RACEFRAMES LLC.

Howdy folks,

Yes it is, but it is also expensive. If I owned a Glock (and I never will), I think I would be hard pressed to add than kind of money into upgrading it. But it is an interesting concept for sure.

I have a friend who is getting one of the frames. He likes Glocks and metal recievers...go figure.

I personally don't see any value to the aftermarket frames.

The polymer OEM frames are stronger than steel and incredibly lightweight. Also, they are good at absorbing the recoil.

I don't do anything to my Glocks except put new night sights on them. I just don't see the need. I'm not as "emotionally invested" in them as other guns either though

Now I don't want to give away any secrets but that CCF is my pal Larrenzo the Magnifico from right here in The Holy City. Larry is the origanl thang and an all arround great guy. Larry mentioned the concept to me some years ago and I replied with Whatever For? Today I saw one shot in IDPA competition by a very experienced guy. It was the stainless model and was a frankenstein of may bits and pieces. Worked like a champ! You can select your favorite backstrap like a new S&W M&P. I know Larry wants to do them in aluminum and in titanium as well. For me, I just took in a new to me G34. I'm going to change off the fancy Dawson sights and shoot the heck out of it. But I am not in the class with the CCF RaceFrame owner/shooter. It is whatever floats your battle ship. But, If you are a Glockman, this may be a leap forward for you. I will only use the plastic ones.

As tight ruled as IDPA is and they let them shoot a CCF framed Glock???

Yepper! I think it was ESP due to the full length dust cover in stainless. I try not to do kit things any more but some folks just have to engineer and tinker. The assembler has a letter from HQ IDPA in Bville with all the rulings on it. It is always something. Oh, and origanl is like original for those who insist upon correct American.

Too bad they didn't give it a better grip while they were at it. They feel like small, med, or large bricks depending.
