Hi All,

I got a call today that my ex-fiance's teenager's car stopped working.

It seems that it hadn't been staying running but nobody ever told me.

Sooooo.... I found out where it was parked. It was in a very bad part of town, so I threw the M95 PPK clone in my right front pocket. I still had my Taurus on my left side.

I met him there tonight and the boy's tearing into things. There were funky looking people around, poor lighting, and some I recognized as "wannabe gangsters" and druggies. So, I put my back to the wall, told the boy how to do things as he's very mechanically inclined, and put my hands in my pockets, my right hand wrapped firmly around the pistol's grip.

We got out of there OK. It's not an experience I'd like to repeat, but there's something about having a pistol all but pointed at a threat in advance that's so comforting. There's no way I could have done that with my belt pistol and gone unnoticed.

Comments are welcome, as always.

I've encountered situations that caused me to put my hand in my pocket, and I know exactly what you're talking about.

Sometimes I put my hand in there just because I can.

I like being comforted.
