I'm very interested in this 38/44. I find r RR for rrr b for. very little about it. I did read about seating to the bottom crimp. I have this same mold. Lyman 358 156 in single cavity. Gas check. Are these 38 44 the same as plus p loads or completely different. I would like to try some in my Rossi 92 and Smith 686. 6 inch barrel. With this bullet how do you determine which crimp groove to use. Be waiting for replies. Thanks Johnny

See if you can find a Lyman's Reloading Manual 45th Edition. There is a small amount of information on the 38-44 in it. They are loading with both Bullseye and Unique powder. They give reloading data for 172gr. cast bullet and 180gr FMJ bullet. Information for this cartridge will not be easy to locate, and it will be found in old reloading manuals.
