Anyone have experience with this model in the Taurus lineup?
My father is looking for a new CCW piece and he is wanting a .45. His first inclination is to go with a stainless 1911 for carry, I am not opposed to this, being a big fan of the 1911 style pistol myself. However, his budget is fairly limited and I found that the Taurus PT945SS seems to be a pretty good bang for the buck, so to speak. Especially when compared to the Commander Sized 1911s he likes. The added plus of being able to carry cocked and locked might seal the deal for him, but I don't want him to bother if these models do not have a good reputation.
So anyone got anything to say about them? Good, bad, ugly?
