Steve was one of the very few with flesh and blood experience with actual ccw hg's and loads, not ridiculous magnums and single shots, 6" barrels and longer. Why not just a rifle? you are just as 'likely' to be slinging a rifle as carrying such a monster handgun. So what you or it can do mean little or nothing. I have shot literally hundreds of animals over the years, with everything from a .22 mag derringer to the .45 l Colt, and believe me, what the rags and ammo makers tell you is many times more likely to be a lie than what you will see if you shoot flesh and blood critters.

Men's flesh and blood is no different than that of animals, when it comes to expanding a bullet, but they might or might not be easier to penetrate, due to clothing. Our hide is not as tough, but leather jackets and denim are, and they tend to 'clog' the noses of hp's. this means that penetration will be increased. The vital organs, except the heart, are not muscle. jello blocks simulate performance in hog muscle. So, on animals, bullets that expand well in jello often don't expand at all, and penetration in animals is often much greater, too.
