Went to the South Carolina Arms Collectors show today.

Picked up a 95%+ Dick Special in .32NP; book says made in 1977.

Traded an old ivory handled Randall #4 for an even older one in better shape and got cash back.

Visited with some old friends at the show and made a few new ones.

Gummed a couple steaks on the way home.

All in all an excellent day.

Pat

Hello Pff,

Just out of curiousity, where was the show held? I'd like to pencil that one in on my calendar for next year.

Morning Chris!

This one was held at the Palmetto Expo Center in Greenville. Dates next year for there are Feb3&4, April 28&29, Sept 22&23 and Dec 15&16.

The club also holds shows in Columbia at the Jamil Shrine Temple on Jan 13&14, April 14&15, July 28&29 and Nov 17&18.

These are club shows, with judged exhibits and a minimum of flea market crap.

Well, the Dick Special shoots quite well: roughly 2" at 25 yards if I call it good.

About 8" high.

Once I figured out where it was hitting I was regularly dinging a 4x6" steel plate at about 40 yards.

Hadn't noticed until then but it looks like someone filed the front sight down for some reason. I'll do a quick buildup with JB-Weld and regulate it.

Oh, well..... its still a treasure.
