Big Tennessee howdies, gents. If I can bend your ears a minute, here's my concern about the Sarsilmaz pistols.

Over the years we've seen lots and lots of well-made foreign guns founder in this country because the sole-source customer service company dropped that particular model. So.......

If the deal with Armalite has indeed fallen through, then my first concern would be parts availability and customer service. i.e. If Sarsilmaz is not willing or able to provide parts and service in this country, or if none of our domestic companies are willing to handle it, then I can't see them successfully selling their products here for very long at all.

As for parts, gun makers modify designs to fit their production capabilities, and knowing this I would be extremely reluctant to assume that Sarsilmaz parts will interchange with CZ's or one of the successful CZ clones.

I'd have real reservations about buying one until I could get these questions answered, especially when considering the price.

Thanks for listenin' and best wishes.

Thanks, Boats,

I hate to be negative and torpedo a good gun, and if Armalite was willing to put its name on it it probably is a good gun. But I'd also hate to see a lot of our fellows buy expensive foreign guns they can't get parts or service for. So for now, I think Sarsilmaz will have to prove its case to me before I could buy one or recommend it to a friend in good conscience.

Good to hear from you and thanks for your comments, Boats. They are very welcome.
