I shot my USP45c today for the first time in about two years. After buying the gun, I shot 25 rounds through it and then put it away. I just felt more comfortable with my Browning Hi-Power.

I decided today that I needed to shoot the HK again, and if I still didn

Kent...I am not siding with either the HK or HP...just keep in mind, you did not marry your wife, after just kissing her the first time.... take them both back to the range, and see today, as just what happened today. It will be interesting to see the results of the next range day.

Pax,

Your right, I had thought about this during the night. I can't go back today, but when I do go back I will take both guns again. I will most likely shoot the Browning first just to see if that makes any difference.

Shooting one gun great, and another one, really well...is still a win win... keep in mind all the variables, of bullets, loads, and lot # of shot ammo.... and are each best suited for each other. I don't think most people really go that deeply into the research of matching gun to ammo...and look instead to getting the least expensive on sale ammo, and expect it to perform great. I shoot what I carry and, after finding a good combo, work to improve my skill....this way, I reduce the guess work, and decrease the learning curve...with yesterdays lessons.

I agree. My Hi-Power is still my favorite! I'm going to have to find a new load for it as my old carry load (Federal's 124 grain Nyclad Hollowpoint) is almost impossible for me to locate.

My current thinking is that the HP will be my primary "carry" gun and the HK will most likely get equiped with a light and/or laser attachment and be used as a house/car gun. Now for finding a load that the HK likes. ;)
