A friend of mine was given a .410 single shot handgun recently and doesn't know anything about it. It is stainless, breaks open
like a shotgun, and has a 8-10" barrel. He was told it was hand-made, but it has a ser. # of 42,XXX on it. It has no other markings.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Howdy daveb,

I do recall seeing some .410 single shot weapons that sound similar to that one listed in Shotgun News years ago. Without seeing the weapon it is really hard to say. My best guess is it was commercially manufactured, but again, that is just a guess.

If you could post a picture of it, maybe some of our members could offer more thoughts after seeing it.

Not much help, sorry.
