I don't know much about the numbers, but it is marked Browning Arms, made in Belgium, not Portugal, has the old style safety and internal extractor with a polished blue finish. Which makes it a post WWII commercial pistol made for export to the US, Also known sometimes as a Mark I, I believe.

Ok, I just checked the link to the BHP serial numbers, and your gun was manufactured in 1962.
