Hello. On another forum I read of a fellow who'd purchased a NIB SIG-Sauer P220. I don't remember which version of the gun he bought, but apparently his factory-supplied magazines were a few-hundredths shorter and would not accept factory Remington Golden Sabers. One or two others mentioned the same thing while still others had no problems.

It sounds like perhaps a run of magazines were slightly ( about 0.04", if I remember correctly) out of spec.

As luck would have it, I'd just received some new factory 230-gr. Golden Sabers and checked them in my "old" (1992) P-220 magazines and they work just fine.

If this is your load of choice and you are planning on possibly purchasing a P-220, it might be something to be aware of.
