I hope it's okay to post this here. My eight year old had the hardest time understanding sight picture until very recently. The other day, it just seemed to click. As of Tuesday, she is 100% at 10 yards on milk jugs with her Cricket 22 LR. +/- 75% on bowling pins at 15 yards. I think she's well on her way to becoming an excellent marksman. The result of a quality family day at the range:

Hi enidpd804,

Yes it is OK to post here and congradulations on your daughter's shooting skills!

It is hard to explain "sight picture" to an adult, much less than an eight year old child, and you deserve the right to be very proud of her!

Thank you for sharing the tradition!

I have a brand spankin new CZ Scout stashed away for my son's 12th birthday in January. He has never shot anything before and I wanted to start him with a rifle. I think I am more excited then he will be.

Anyway great shooting from your daughter enidpd804! I can think of worse ways to spend time than Family Day at the Range!
