I bought a Charles Daly HP exactly a year ago. After I'd fired 200 or so rounds through it, it started having extraction issues and the front sight become loose in the dovetail. I sent it back to Charles Daly to have both problems corrected. They seem to have fixed the FTE issue (I haven't fired it too much since having it returned), but the front sight came loose again. I brought the pistol to a local gunsmith, who peened it in place. Honestly, mine seems to be a fine pistol, with better fit and finish than some others note with theirs. The problem is that shortly after getting the Charles Daly HP, I bought one of the FN High Powers from CDNN, so the latter spoiled me. But for me, the Charles Daly is a good value for its price from Ordnance Outsellers, since it's much less than the $650 - $700 that used BHPs go for around here.
