I see a advertisement for a recoil buffering guide rod for the Browning Hi Powers. Less recoil would be a benefit to my aging hands. Has anyone tried it?
Thanks,

I have a number of the BHSS Buffering Recoil Spring Guide Rods. Using one in the .40 caliber BHP makes it feel like a 9mm, recoil wise. I notice a reduction in recoil when using it in a 9mm BHP.

BHSS also has a new Progressive Recoil Spring in a couple of weights (17#s & 18#s). I do not have one yet and I have not asked if it is suitable for use with the buffered guide rod.

I will probably pick up some of these springs to play with one day soon... I will also ask Mark if the two products will work together.

*Listening to the video just now, the progressive spring should make it easier to rack the slide and control the recoil somewhat.

Cheers,

Tim
