I have a number of the BHSS Buffering Recoil Spring Guide Rods. Using one in the .40 caliber BHP makes it feel like a 9mm, recoil wise. I notice a reduction in recoil when using it in a 9mm BHP.
BHSS also has a new Progressive Recoil Spring in a couple of weights (17#s & 18#s). I do not have one yet and I have not asked if it is suitable for use with the buffered guide rod.
I will probably pick up some of these springs to play with one day soon... I will also ask Mark if the two products will work together.

Listening to the video just now, the progressive spring should make it easier to rack the slide and control the recoil somewhat.
Cheers,
