Gents,

Before you all go crazy and think I've gone over to the dark side...

Have a chance to pick up a ANIB Beretta 92 Compact at a great price. Anyone have any experience with the Compacts. Good, bad, indifferenct?

I don't see them cataloged any more, so don't know if they are going out of production or what?

Any info would help.

I owned a 92 Compact Inox several years ago. I liked the shorter grip and it shot as well as any full sized 92 I have owned. It is not longer in production either in Italy or the US. I sold it because I do not care for a slide mounted safety/decocker.

I had one. I've had a few Beretta 92/96 variations, and that's my favorite.
I'm a sorta closet Beretta 92 fan. I've always had good luck with them.
The 92 FC I had always worked, felt good, and I thought it was as easy to shoot as a full-size.
I liked the balance and "feel" better than a full-size.
It was enough smaller to make a difference in carry.

I eventually traded it off because it wouldn't do anything a HiPower would, and I preferred the HiPower. But I hung onto it for a few years first.

By the way, the last I knew- KY Imports had magazines for them at a reasonable price.
