Hello all. I'm new to the board and have been considering the Arcus variant of the HP. Would appreciate views on this hand gun. Do they accept the std. capacity HP mags?
Thanks for any help.

Hello, and welcome. I've not owned an Arcus version of the Hi Power. I've shot a couple over the years at the range when folks had them. As best I recall, they do use the standard Hi Power magazine.

Best.

Hi,I'm new here too. :)

I have an Arcus 94,it is the standard matte dark grey finish. It will accept all the magazines intended for the Browning/FN/FM/FEG PJK high Powers of the GP-35 design.
My opinion (and that of a few who I highly respect ) of the Arcus is positive.THe gun is well made of high quality steel, the frame and slide are forged as opposed to cast and the internal parts interchange with other GP-35 pistols. The sight aren't what I would consider "high visibility" but still better than your typical military stlye pistol sights.Another plus, the sights are dovetailed into the slide front and rear.
I bought my Arcus used with some minor extractor issues Mr.Camp helped me solve.Since then it has ran well for me and I'd put it with the FEG PJK as a great bargain in BHP clones.
I added Hogue Kingwood panels, which required a little trimming around the ambi safety to insure good access with the thumb.

Please bear with me as I catch up on topics from the past. In regard to the Arcus 94 it is the best clone I know of and I own a FEG and I had a FM licenced copy. If the Arcus 94 has a down side it is it doesn't look like a BHP. Other than this the Arcus 94 is a great pistol at a very good price. Regards, Richard:D
