I dropped by my favorite gunshop yesterday afternoon is see if anything new was in the handgun cases. An old prewar S&W six inch M&P .32-20 on consignment at what I considered to be an outrageous price and a Colt 1908 .25 ACP Vest Pocket Model.
Looked over the Colt and it was all original. It showed a fair amount of finish wear except for the grips which were much nicer looking. I rated it at 70 percent, The mag was the original two type and the spring was still quite strong. Price was $225 plus tax.
Whipped out my DL, CCW permit, and Visa and ten minutes later I took it out to the car for safe keeping.
I have little use for the .25 Auto round. For pocket carry I use a Kel-Tec P32. But I just couldn't leave that little blaster behind in the case. Like it or hate it, the pistol was designed by JMB and I rate all of his pistol designs as classics. Besides, I have an excuse. I had almost 100 rounds of .25 ACP ammo languishing on the shelf without a pistol to shoot it.
