Chris---

Thanks for posting this. It really is instructive. I wanted to try his suggestions at the range first, and truth to tell, although it's counter-intuitive to some degree, what he says about the grip change works. It's simply a matter of schooling yourself to hold the gun his way, and some of you might do this already, but it's not exactly how your hand closes on the holstered weapon, or not how mine does, so maybe it's ergonomics. Oh, and his recommendation to shoot isoc. I find splitting the difference between a modified Weaver and an isoc is best for me (22 1/2 degrees?), and it has to do with both habit and diminishing eyesight, but this guy is a much better shooter than I am, so I might have to unlearn. Old dogs, new tricks.

Hello degatesjr,

I posted this so everyone, both novice and expert could take a look.

I found it very helpful to "unwire" some of the "bad" habits up in my smallish brain and viewed it a couple of times before I went to the range last week. My scores improved dramatically. This demonstrated to me that I had "slipped" into some not so good habits.

Its a nice refresher for me.
