Hello. A fellow under my command when a police officer was forced to shoot a BG. The officer was using a Beretta M92F loaded with factory 124-gr. Hydrashoks. It was the +P+ version. He hit the BG smack dab in the middle of the heart and he dropped dead. I think the bullet lodged against the spine but cannot remember that part for absolute sure. I do know that the bullet did not exit.

Best.

The local PD carries 147gr original Hydra Shok in their Sig 9mm's. The only shooting I'm aware of took place when an officer put one through the back of a BG's head as he was trying to run over a fellow officer.

The bullet smashed through the pickup truck's rear window and entered the BG's head, seemingly with little to no deflection. I read the report but understandably didn't talk to the officer who did the shooting.

The bullet performed as designed.
