Second what Erich said. A 6" tube makes it legal for hunting in CA, but isn't necessary everywhere; check your state regs. It's another sop from the antis who don't want "concealable" pistols used for sporting purpose. I like the 1076, as he does, because it's a pretty good combination of portability and power - scaled appropriately for the cartridge and the average human hand.

Of course, if you have oven mitts for paws, nothing wrong with the Glock, as the wide frame does increase the surface area at the web of your hand and make it seem softer recoiling even though the actual recoil might be greater due to the light weight.
