Awesome trade!

A friend of mine is leaving the state for another job and I traded him a Henry Golden Boy for a Smith and Wesson 625 model of 1989 4'' barrel 45acp. Pics and range report to come soon!

Crying Why can't something like that ever happen to me?

I haven't even been able to find one of those for sale anywhere around here! Haven't seen one in years.

We don't see them around here either! It appears to have had very little use. Judging from reports I 've read, I should be very pleased!

You are going to have bad karma for that. Those 4" 625s are very much in demand by IDPA Enhanced Service Revolver shooters. S&W used to make them in 4" and 5" but the 5" barrels were later disallowed for IDPA. I have seen many a 5" cut to be used in competition.

I also heard of one sold (with some accessories) for $750 or so. You got a bargain.

I did. It's beautiful piece. I'll try hard to hold on to it!

Sorry I haven't got it range tested yet. My dad passed away and I've been real busy. I intend to have pics up by sunday! I did manage to shoot it at some bottles while I was away this past week, it is very sweet! Very little recoil and buttersmooth double action!

Condolences on the loss of your dad. I have a 4 incher that's the MOST accurate of my many S&W revolvers. I paid $900. when all was said and done, and I WAS GLAD TO GET IT ! ! ! I haven't seen another for sale since. The 5" and even the 3" versions are more easily found. You done real good, son........

I'm so sorry for your loss, Chriskm1968. My dad's been gone 15 years come this December, and what I wouldn't give for just a few minutes of talking to him now. God bless you and your family in your grief.
