More mods to Hi Power

Here are some more pics of my current hi power project. The slide has been milled for the Novak adjustable sights. (only adjustable for height to my dismay, would have bought mmc or fusion if I had been told. I still think they are very nice!) Because Novak's does not make an adjustable sight for the BHP, this is a kimber rear sight with the appropriate front. (Supplied by Novak's) When using the drawing they sent us, we noticed that it is not all the way back on the slide. I assume this is to protect from hammer slap? My gunsmith and I decided to round the back of the slide and blend in the sight rather than leaving the small step that is left after milling. I hope these pictures are properly sized, I used photoshop to reduce them all to below 640X480. If there is a limit on the number of pics posted please contact me and I will adjust the posting. Here they are for now, can't finish until I recover from sinus surgery. ( No dust , No solvents and no fun for the next couple of weeks)

The Novaks are adjustable for height only because the foresight is drifted for horizontal adjustment. The logic is why make the backsight larger just to accomplish a function already met by the foresight?

Still, not as quick to correct when at the range, MMC & Fusion 1911 sights are no larger than the novak's. Both use the same size dovetail.
