Mag Problems/CZ-75B

I just bought 3 Megar CZ-75B 16 round 9MM from Midway USA. On trying to fit the mags into the pistol they fit very tight, so tight I have to use pliers to get them out.

The 2 factory "standard" that came with the pistol function fine, those are 10 round "pc" mags that came with the pistol when I got it.

The pistol has Hogue wrap around grips, other than that its factory stock.

I figure I'll have to send them back, all 3 have the same problem

The pistol in question, bought new 5-6 years ago, about 2800 rounds though it

Mag Problems/CZ-75B

Howdy Mr. Don,

You might want to take a look at the markings on the packages. I buy a lot of M-G mags from Midway and other vendors.

I have encountered a similary problem only once before. I was sent magazines intended to work in the 75 Tactical version, which apparently is a bit larger. I would have needed to use my rubber mallet to get the magazine to seat - if it even would have. Then I was not sure how I would get it out.

I just called Midway, and exchanged them. I also suggested they note somehow these particular mags were designed for the Tactical model and not a standard 75B.

I don't know if the same thing has happened, but that is the only think I can think of.

Hope this might help a bit. Good luck. I have a ton of the 75B and SP-01 M-G mags. The 75B mags work perfectly. I don't have the SP-01 in hand yet, so I can't discuss how they work yet.

Mag Problems/CZ-75B

Thanks 2guns, I'm going to call tomorrow and see what they say. I'd been waiting for Midway to have both the CZ and High Power mags on sale at the same time and that was this week ...HP mags seem fine

Markings on the package are for the CZ mags, but the mags themselves have mag latch on both sides of the mag, my 10 rd CZ mags that came with the pistol only have the mag latch on the right side side...I'm guessing thats so they can work in TZ-75 clones or the Tactical like you had problems with...sounds like the same problem I'm having

The locking notch in the magazine isn't the right size, shape or location.

Send'em back.
