Howdy from Texas

I'm a new member from southeast Texas. I'm addicted to FN High Powers, more as a collector than a shooter as well as Colt Government Models, uh well you know pistols in general.

Welcome from South Carolina. Hope you avoided all the rain and flooding from Harvey.

I was in the process of moving when Harvey hit. Both the place I was leaving & the place I was moving to did not get flooded but everything in between did. I'm probably part of that 10% of the 6.5 million people in the Houston Metroplex that was not affected by the hurricane. However, I was raised in Rockport and went through Carla in 1961 & Celia in 1970 as well as a few of the smaller ones. I've lost it all in Celia. I think most Texans have lost it all at least once in their life. That's probably what makes us so resilient & also so ready to help our neighbor. Yep, "Been there, done that & can I help you".

Good for you, Dan. I'm an Okie myself, but always thought highly of Texicans! Glad you are high and dry and able to help others. We have that same spirit in Oklahoma, especially when it comes to our wonderful tornadoes!
