Everyone, I am new here and just wanted to introduce myself. I was born in Spain, I also lived in France, came to the United States, at 17, and lived in New York City, moved to Florida, in 1986, and I would never live in another non gun friendly state or country again.
I have trained with a variety of instructors over the years and have used my weapon to defend myself once in an attempted carjacking in 1997, my EDC was a G17, and my ammo was the Federal 115gr +P+ I will remember that day until I close my eyes for the very last time. I now EDC a G35 Gen4 and my carry ammo is the 165gr Federal Tactical Bonded I, get 1,180fps out of the 5" barrel from the G35.
I would just like to say carry your weapon always because you never know when you will need it. Always exercise good judgement, and always back away from confrontations because you know that there is at least one weapon present the one you are carrying and you don't want it to come into play.
From my experience I carry two spare magazines now and a back up gun of a smaller caliber. I train with someone once a year and practice always on a outdoor range. This year I will take a class with Dave Spaulding, of Hand Gun Combatives, and Tom Givens, of Range Master.

Welcome to the party, my friend. Sounds like you keep yourself well-trained and ready. Always a good thing.
Did you say that you are EDC-ing a competition model Glock, or have I misunderstood?
Mucho gusto, seņor.
