Stephen Camp

If you've been on this forum any length of time you certainly know that name, his website and the two editions (original and revised) of The Shooter's Guide To The Browning Hi Power not to mention his insightful contributions to this and other forums. I have both with the original edition being signed by him but sadly he passed before I received the revised edition. Being a life Patron level member of the NRA, yesterday I received their Sept. issue of American Rifleman. To my pleasant surprise on page 28, Brian Sheetz, a senior executive editor, had a 1/2 page review of the book (revised edition) and it was a great review. IMO, if you like Hi Powers or just want a lot more knowledge about them, Mr. Camp's book(s) are a must have.

I never met Stephen Camp in person but I did have the pleasure of exchanging several emails regarding some modifications I intended to do to my Hi Powers. I wish I could have gotten to know him better but what little I did learn about him, from our email exchanges and from this forum, is that he was a first rate gentleman and I'm not saying that because he's gone and that's what you're supposed to say.

I saw that too, Les. Quite a nice surprise.

I second your recommendation of his guide.

Absolutely a "must have".

I, too, have had great email conversations with Stephen.

Gave me advice on the HiPower but most of all, he was a true gentleman.

I still miss his writings.

Just got confirmation email for my copy of the Revised Edition!

I have a first edition (signed) and it has arguably been the most important guidebook in my library.

I'm sure the Revised Edition, with whatever new info has been added, will be just as useful and indispensable as the first!

If you own an HP, you need this book!
