recoil spring help

As I have gotten older, it is more difficult for me to get the recoil spring installed after cleaning my BHP 40 S&W. Some years ago I thought I say a small plastic guide that would help hold the spring in place to make installation easier. I am sure it is buried in a long closed thread.

Can any one recall what this was?

Thanks

I remember the mention it had years ago. I think it was in the pistol smithing sub-forum. Have a look there.

Otherwise, all I can offer is that a hint of a memory says Cylinder & Slide might be the maker.

George, did you ever find one? Cylinder & Slide must've resumed production, because they are currently listed on their website, and also at Midway USA.

George:

Glad you found some. They are made of Delrin. You will not break one. However, if you are like me; you might forget where you put them.
