The sight is to be used on a 1979 Browning Hi Power Sport Model with staked front sight. Going by what CXM, Mr. Chuntaro and others have said, this gun should have the .368 dovetail. And I agree that the .375 sight dovetail could be made to fit with a little careful work .

With all the valuable information here I'm going to sticky this thread when all is resolved.

There is another LPA that will work that is compatible with the adjustable sight front sight height. The sight in the picture is the one they sell that is compatible with older fixed sight front sight height. I am not concerned about manipulation of the hammer. I let the slide or trigger do that for me. I do want a sight that is pleasing to the eye however.
