Decoding The FEG Hi-Power Has Moved.

The article "Decoding the FEG Hi-Power" and its attendant articles may now be found in the Kindle Library at Amazon.com. The link there is

Amazon.com: DECODING THE FÉG HI-POWER eBook: Jerry Paregien, G. M. Frazier: Kindle Store

It was relocated from its former home at FEGBLOG, which is no longer active. If you should decide to read the work, whether free or not, or even if you previously read it on the old FEGBLOG, it would help us a lot if you would post a review at Amazon.com. Thanks very much.

Thumbs Up

I bought my copy rather than wait for the freebie. I've referred to it many times in the past and I've enjoyed reading it each time.
I figure that if enough folks pay the 99 cent price Jerry might be able to get himself a new FEG or two. If so I hope he posts a report on it here. :-)

I purchased the Kindle version several weeks ago, and I found it very well done and helpful with my questions about my FEG P9. Lots of good photos too. I will write a review on Amazon.com

Thanks very much jmacmiami. I was in Hq. and Hq. Det., 125th Transportation Bn. at Gerszewski Barracks in Karlsruhe in '62,63, and '64. The Seventh Army was still a major field army back then and we were a Seventh Army outfit.

Prior to that I was in the 24ID in Augsburg in '61 and part of '62.

Hi JayPee,

Thank you for your excellent research and book! I was able to educate myself prior to purchasing my FEG. On Gunbroker, I found a new, unfired first version P35 type FEG Hi Power (with cross bolt and white dot sights) with 2 FEG magazines and cleaning brush in original box. Paid $450, which is probably high but worth it to me for a new gun. The owner bought it 20 some years ago and never shot it. Story seems plausible based on visual inspection.

I'd like to replace the thumb safety as it is difficult to use. I did remove the mag disconnect. The trigger is very nice and the gun seems very accurate.

One interesting thing about the magazines - they are 14 plus one and work great. I had not read this fact about FEG mags.

Thanks again.
