New Ruger Mark IV Standard

Like I mentioned in another post, being laid up for 12 weeks and surfing the net leads to firearms purchases. My youngest brother is a big rimfire guy. He mentioned the new Ruger Mark IV that he purchased. I believe he bought the Target 6" bull barrel model? But explained how easily they broke down. We all remember the tedious (at least to me) breaking down of the earlier MK I, II and III. So of course it caught my attention.

Then another local gun shop sale on the newer Mark IV in all models in stock. I chose the Standard Model with 4.75" tapered barrel like the earlier ones. Just a nice feel and balance to it. Not sure what I'm going to do with it since I'm still partial to my Browning Buckmark with 6" barrel and adjustable sights. Plus a beautiful trigger.

My Ruger Mark IV had the new safety factory recall upgrade included. Thoughts? I like it a lot. The trigger stinks compared to my Buckmark, but it's more accurate than me and never had an issue in over 300rds so far. I have more than enough .22lr to last me a life time, and this solid Ruger will see that it goes the distance if needed.

Nice looking!
Always liked the way the 4 3/4" standard models felt in the hand, balanced just right . And the way they carried in a belt holster . Mine's a stainless MKII.
That trigger can be lightened.
Can't have enough Ruger's in my book !
Good score !

Thank you, Gary. Do you have a preference for a decent OWB holster for this new Ruger since I'm considering purchasing a field holster in the near future. I appreciate your input.
