Lucas Extreme Duty Gun Oil by the gallon

Brownells has 1 gallon of the Lucas Extreme Duty Gun Oil for $94.99/gal or $82/gal if you have a discount account. Even after shipping, that is less than a dollar per ounce.

JayPee,

How did your evaluation of the Lucas Extreme Duty gun oil go last summer? Is it time for a follow up?

Sorry guys, I had a complete computer meltdown and lost all of the reports the participants had sent me. Generally speaking, the reports denoted a superior product that stayed put and lubricated well even in extremely cold weather. One participant took it out in his AR in weather so cold the water in his canteen froze, and another used it in an AR for a test in temperatures well below zero and it performed just fine in both cases. I have used it exclusively in auto pistols and AR's for the past year and a half and swear by it, even in hot weather. It definitely doesn't migrate nearly as fast as other oils I've used. Other participants reported that it slicked up guns that had heretofore been "unslickable", such as M-1 Garands and Japanese Arisakas. Overall, everyone who gave me a report was impressed enough to adopt it as their primary gun lubricant where oils were called for. Hope that helps. Spike's still has the best prices.

I bought a gallon of the stuff back when it first hit the market... I'm extremely pleased with the stuff... even if it has a smell like the chemicals used to clean public toilets...

We don't get much in the way of weather extremes here in Florida... but I have no complaints at all... no rust and no wear in guns I have used it on.

FWIW
