Where to buy a FAL rifle?

Where can I find a place which sells the FAL? I'm trying to compare between it and the M-14.

I have a local gun store that sells Springfield M-14s, I've found the Fulton Armory on the web and many different varieties of the weapon. I can not, however, seem to find a place that sells the FAL.

Are these not made any longer or not made for civilian use? Where should I look, or am I using the wrong name for the weapon?

This is because I fell in love with my friend's Garand, but I want a lighter version of the weapon in the .308 round.

Thanks.

Go to the FAL files. There are always some nice ones for sale there for well under $1000. Any questions you have about a particular rifle will also be answered quickly by some very knowledgable people. In a heads up choice between a well built FAL and the current Springfields, I'll take the FAL any day. SA's quality has gone way down since they ran out of Gov. surplus M-14 parts.

SA sold Imbel FAL's awhile back, maybe '88-'95 or so.
