Need ideas for bolt action with detachable mag

I'm trying to think of a bolt action gun in .308 that uses detachable mags, and it must hold 10 rounds. I've been feeling blonde lately and can only think of the Tikka T3 Tactical, Steyr SBS and the Accuracy International (whatever the civvie version is called). I want a bolt action that could be used as a snipers rifle, and I want it to hold 10 rounds because that is what I trained with with the L96. Familiarity is comfort right? That's why I like the Hi Power so much, it's what was issued to me). And herein lies my problem, the Accuracy International rifle is way out of my budget.

So if you guys could think of any bolt actions that have a detachable mag with a capacity of ten (or more), please list them.

:)

Bump for me, lol. Well I've pretty much narrowed it down to a Rem 700 action with an AICS stock or a Tikka T3 (if I can find the 10 round mags for it). My Enfield No.4 Mk1 doesn't count. The Steyr SBS seemed like a good option, but I don't like the fact it has an integrated bipod and for the 10 round mags you need to attach an adapter to the receiver.

If I remember correctly, Robar does an Rem 700 conversion to M-14 mags. I know someone does because I shot one about 5 or 6 years ago.

Hi there hkpete,

I don't know if you are still interested, but I ran across this on THR this morning and it may be of interest to you if you want to convert a less expensive rifle:

Good luck,

i dont know about the ten round mag. But find a used 788 remington in 308. ( locking lugs and faster lock time than the 700. Most claim superior accuracy as well.
