WalMart Discounting AR's/accessories

Hey Y'all,

Word on the gun forums has it that WallyWorld is going out of the black rifle and tactical shotgun business and is beginning to discount the heck out of them and accessories. One guy reports getting a Colt LE6920 carbine for $699, which is about $300 off of current price and $200 lower than I've ever seen them. You might want to take a mosey over to your local WW store and see what gives.

Interesting!!! Thank you for the word, JayPee. Did not here of it out here, although in Hawaii you cannot buy any firearms or Ammo from Wal-Mart.

Only select (maybe one in five or less) WalMarts here stock firearms. Closest one to me is 15 miles or so out, but I'll have a look this week.

The story I'm getting now from a friend who talked to a WM Sporting Goods Department Manager is that this is just an inventory reduction and that WM isn't actually getting out of the black rifle business. Even though, a friend out in West Tennessee, 500 miles from here, went into his local WM and got a Colt LE6920 for $688 + tax and background check. The friend that went with him also bought one.

A nephew went to a WM store in Bristol, TN yesterday and found a thousand dollar Bushmaster reduced to $750, and found many accessories reduced to half price or less. So I guess all the initial reports were spot-on.

Sounds like some good deals out there, in AR's and accessories at some Wal-Marts. Get while you can i guess!

Yesterday I stuck my nose in one of the Wally's that stocks firearms. Only one AR type rifle there, a Bushmaster Patrolman (?) marked down about $100 below what I've ever seen anybody list that model.

Just picked up a LE6920 for $500 at Walmart in Jennings, LA. Original price was $1267. It was the last M4/AR type rifle they had at that store. The girl at the counter said WM is getting out of the "assault" rifle business.

Interesting, and wow! MAC 1, Will Wal-Mart still be selling? How about ACP Pistol's and Revolvers or Hunting rifles/Shotguns, Ammo?

Scott, they are still selling hunting rifles and shot guns. The WM I go to never did sell pistols or revolvers. They had a Mini 14 and a couple of small caliber 22LR semi auto rifles available.
