Is my Fiocchi 9mm Ammo bad??

Hello all,

New poster here; I admittedly am also new to firearms in general. I wanted to ask about something I have noticed on my Fiocchi Brass 9mm FMJs.

Some, (not all) have a grayish, white looking film? around the primers. I have no idea whether they are starting to corrode, if that is just a sealer, normal oxidation, or... I have had this box for two months, and am not sure if they have been like this the whole time.

I don't know if my photo does it justice, but I think you'll see what I mean. I can always snap a new photo if need be.

What do you guys think? Perfectly normal or something I should be concerned about shooting?

I have a few cases of Fiocchi 7.65Para(30 Luger) ammo, and checked a few boxes to see. Of the few that I checked, none had that coloring. Until recently, all Fiocchi ammo was made in Italy, and all of mine has sealed(red) primers. I would not be concerned about what I see concerning your 9mm ammo. Take it to the range and enjoy it.

By the way, Fiocchi brass reloads just fine, if you decide to take up that hobby.

Thanks for the help!

I figured it was probably nothing, but wanted to make sure. I plan on shooting the box soon, (no long term storage concerns that way ). I'm glad that it looks good to someone who has some experience with these things.

I haven't shot Fiocchi for a long time, but found the velocities all over the place (9mm), but the 45 seems OK.

As gt40doc said, the brass is fine.
