Plated Bullet Reloading Question
Hello. I'm a new member and have benefited from reading the posts, now I have a question of my own.
I loaded a bunch (200) of ammo with a load recommended in the Speer handbook. Now I've looked at about 5 other places and handbooks and it seems that that load was quite high.
I'm using a kinetic puller to break them down and start over.
My question: Can I reuse the bullets? They are Berry's plated, and have a small groove, but not piercing the copper. I'd sure like to get them into rounds with a lower charge.
Anybody know whether that groove will cause any problems. I'm going to seat them at the same COL, so the new taper crimp should line up with the old.
Anybody want to comment?
