Browning Citori

I purchased a Browning Citori and I have only shot it 3 times and hit 3 doves at that time. But it has been in the safe for 3 years since then and I took it out to try it with practice rounds. Oiled it up since it was very dry and I noticed the safety doesn't push back on safe after firing. It truly ejects the dummy round but my Belgium Superimposed goes to safety after firing. Shouldn't it go into safety after firing? It is still very stiff and since I purchased it in a pawn shop it doesn't appear to have been fired at all.

When you state the safety does not push back after firing do you mean manually or automatically? Some O/Us are set up to return to safe any time the action is opened and closed. My Citori safety resides in the position in which I have left it by manipulation. Hope this helps.
