Just acquired a Colt Trooper Mk III in .357. Manuf. 1977. After market grips on it are lousy imho. Now have a sick headache trying to get an education on Colt grip sizes in order to find grips for range use (Pachmayr?).Anyone steer me to a Colt for dummies site? My first Colt double action--couldn't pass it up in it's condition/price (My excuse when I talk to the Smiths I already have) ;) TIA & Regards, G>M>F>

Thanks, Y'all. I guess I can assume the Trooper is a "J" frame in Colt nomenclature. Be nice to match other models with frame nomenclature. To be safe, I guess I will call Pachmayr or a distributor because some of the descriptions are long on sales hype & short on details/pictures. P is not my only choice, but good experience with other guns. Colt is nice revolver, but I plan to keep my Mod 13 3"
Hard to teach an old dog new tricks? Regards, G>M>F>
