Hellooo EAA Winstigator .357/.38 w/ 4" barrel

So, this will be my first firearm, and was purchased for home protection. So now, I've got "the bug" and cannot wait to pick this thing up! I've seen I think every related link on the Internet, but I'd like to hear from those of you with actual experience with it. I understand it's a great, reliable, sturdy piece that's accurate and affordable. True?

Also, I've read that +P ammo is "not recommended" the Winstigator, but also that it's been used with no issues. I'll be safe just shooting one little box of them, won't I?

I appreciate any and all information/opinions you will share.

Thanks!

Strutter

Winstigator

Yes if the revolver is rated for .357 magnum it is certainly safe for 38+P. The non +P caution is for the 2 inch barrel .38 model. By the way and not to be insulting, the revolver is a Windicator, not Winstigator. The revolver is German made and the "w" is pronounced as a "v". I have heard both good and bad about the revolver but have no personal experience with it.

You're right! Sorry for my error in the name. I've read both good and bad reviews. One that bothers me the most is about the construction (I apologize, I'm a newbie and I don't remember the correct term) or strength of the steel used, or craftsmanship? I also read it's an ugly pistol. Guess you can't believe everything you read!
