HP trigger job

I just finished installing C&S strong side combat safety and their duty carry spring kit. I then pulled the trigger assembly out, punched out the mag safety pin. I removed the mag safety spring, cleaned both the trigger and mag safety plunger with brake cleaner. I heated both parts with a hair dryer to be sure the cleaner had evaporated fully. I then applied green loctite 609 to the plunger, then installed the plunger to the fully closed position. Let it cure for 3 hours. Put it all back together, and now the trigger with the hammer at full cock only travels 1/16" and with the hammer down 3/32". I have a match barrel that was about 3/32" longer that the fixed bushing. I'm having it cut flush and crowned 11 degrees. I will be installing a C&S no bite hammer and sear to finish the internals. External gets a set of Spegel BTS+ cocobolo grips, cerakote armor black, and a set of XS 24/7 standard dot sights. I like the Heinie straight Eights also, but the XS's seem more low profile and more like the intended combat sights. Oh, it's a M90 Argentine Hi Power that I bought for $200 cash and when finished right around $900. A lot for an argy, some might say, but I say why not, it will be unique!

Mate, no worries there. It is your gun and you can do whatever you like so don't worry about putting money into it to get a unique - call it custom, gun.

I will admit that this is the first time I've heard of anyone loctiting the magazine disconnector in the 'shoot' position. It's a clever idea, but I'll just keep pulling them out of my guns.

Will do on the pics as soon as she's done!

Scattershot,

Yes it does, I noticed that on the inside of the frame there was a shinny spot where contact was being made. So I temporarily put the trigger assembly back in to see. Sure enough it was the mag safety that catches there. So I went for it and it payed off, I figured if I screwed it up I would just order the C&S wide trigger. I'm actually glad that it worked, not as a savings standpoint, more of an O'l Blue Eyes, I did it my way!
