Lobo Gunleather

Arggghhh! I just learned Ray is retiring. While I wish him the best, I will miss his work. His Pancake and Enhanced Pancake (both with thumb break) are my favorite leather OWB holsters.

I will truly miss his work and wish I had ordered a few more pieces.

I've got a couple of his holsters and a couple of his leather belts. His prices are very competitive and his work is nice. If I had/have a complaint, it is a very minor one. The two holsters I got from him really needed breaking in to fit correctly... way too snug/tight. I might add if I had my "rathers", I'd rather have the holsters a bit tight and not loose. Tight is easily fixed with leather. Anyway, the fix was an easy one. Twenty four hours with the pistols in a couple of sandwich bags with that setup inside the holsters and all was right with the world.

When is Ray retiring? Or has he already Retired? If not may be you can get a couple of rush orders in before he retires?

No, Ray has stopped taking orders.

For clarification, it took me a month to discover my original payment never arrived (typo error with PayPal). I have since confirmed my order is still in process, but per his website, Ray is finishing orders and then that's it. I expect retirement may sound good to him after all these years!

I wish him well, and hope he is healthy in his retirement.

I never got around to ordering a Lobo product (just another in a long line of things I dragged my feet on too long), but I've seen his posts on a couple of forums. He always seemed like an intelligent and classy guy.

I've spent an awful lot of time "window shopping" for holsters on the internet, and I've always considered Ray's own Enhanced Pancake for his Kimber, one of the best looking rigs I've seen. It's pictured in the middle of this page.

For those that may be interested, apparently the Lobo styles may be available again soon.

As of September 18, 2015 negotiations are under way for a possible sale of Lobo Gun Leather. It now looks like Lobo Gun Leather will be continuing under new ownership as soon as the details can be worked out and a contract closed.

Retire

I have two enchanted pancake holsters one for a G19 and a CW9 wore the CW9 all day today both great holsters. Wanted to order a belt but messed around to long and missed out. Maybe there is hope after all. Happy retirement Ray - Mr. Lobo!

I have a box of holsters, they sit gathering dust, I carry using the Lobo holsters. Back pain has slowed down belt carry, so for now it is pocket or Lobo.
