Mauser model 80 (HP Clone?)

Just bought a Mauser model 80. Brand new, finish is 99%. Got it for $300. I've heard they were made by FEG for Mauser? Thanks for any info.

Hello. Yes, I believe that is correct. The "Mauser" Hi Powers had very nice finishes as well. I've only shot one or two of these and they worked just fine.

Best.

The Mausers were indeed made by FEG. Who is the importer on yours, Precision Arms in Arizona?

abninftr,

I'm in Belgium so no import marks. I'll try to get pics soon.

My book says they were imported to the states between 92 and 93 by Precision Imports inc. and yes they were made in Hungary.

Yeah, I remember the 80 mauser had a nice finish. Alas, they came out when I was a 1911A1 guy only. ( Stubborn old Marine )
