John Ciener arrested!

Yep, the Brevard Co. (Florida) Sheriff's Office raided Mr. Ciener's place of business and shut it down. Charged JAC with fraud. Lemme find a link to the story, in the meantime google up "Ciener arrested" and you'll get some hits.

Oh wait. maybe a few here don't know who Johnathan Arthur Ciener is. His company produces a bunch of .22 L.R. conversion kits for many different handguns--including the Hi Power--and even some long guns.

If you get one of the units that work well, good on ya. But heaven forbid the one you purchase has problems, JAC will absolutely be of no help. (Don't take my word for that, have a look around the interwebz and see what I mean.)

Saw his troubles reported on another forum. You are absolutely correct about his so called "customer service". The pin holding the extractor on mine broke during the first shooting session (less than 100 rounds). I contacted him and can say the last time I was treated like that was when I arrested a pissed off drunk and hauled him to jail.

Fortunately for me I bought the unit from Brownells. When I contacted them they said many customers found it difficult to deal with Mr. Ceiner (understatement of that year). They graciously offered to replace the unit with another one, saying they would deal with Ceiner.

Conclusion was, Brownells were good people to do business with. Ceiner...no so much, and never again.

I have one and it works perfectly, but I bought it from an individual. I didn't want to deal with JAC! With all the problems and his winning attitude, I can't believe noone has ever driven down there and given him a dose of eye swell!

Ciener used to set up at the Knob Creek shoot/gun show in Kentucky. I saw numerous people come thisclose to getting physical with him. He was just as arrogant in person when he was "outnumbered" behind his table at the event.

I've never heard anything that suggested that I should do business with the man. Despite his products being generally held to be very good.

I recall being impressed with his suppressors some years ago but I have heard nothing positive about his conversion kits.

I used to hear bad things about the kits years ago and never aquired one.
Recently I bought one ( From an individual ) and was impressed. It's accurate and functions great on my FEG. I wouldn't be selling it now if I was keeping the FEG.
That being said: I'm glad he's getting what he deserves for screwing so many people!

When I was looking for a conversion kit for my BHP I heard so many bad things about his demeanor and sorry customer service that I declined his conversion kit and bought the CZ Kadet conversion kit for my CZ 85 istead. That's pretty bad juju when a guy's attitude runs customers off.
