G35 edc

Hello,
Everyone. Some want to know why I EDC a G35 competition gun. I was in a shooting and at the time had a G17 loaded with the Federal 9BPLE
"9mm Border Patrol Law Enforcement" 115gr +P+ I would say I as well as the ammo did well. However, I offend wondered if I had a bigger bullet, would the person had of been neutralized sooner? So, I thought to go to a 45acp G21 but I was worried about weapons retention with the wider grip and a 45acp would have less aamo. So I settled on the G35 16rds or 40 caliber a 165gr bullet moving at 1,180fps with a match grade barrel is just as good "mimics" 10mm. 40 caliber does better
against barriers such as bone, 40 will break it or go straight threw.

Hello,

G-19 or G-43 here. I've owned the G-35 and it is a excellent firearm. However, I don't do the 40 S&W anymore. That's just my personal preference.

Best,

Chris

And that is perfectly fine that you carry a 9mm, I did. I have been carrying the G35 now about 8 months.

Hello,

I got into a conversation with a neighbor who just moved down from NY to North Myrtle Beach yesterday. We had the same discussion about caliber choices as he is thinking about buying his first handgun. It was interesting because I invited him over to handle a couple of different firearms in my collection. I am guessing that he will like the G-19/Gen 4 the most.... My very first CWP pistol was the G-23 in 40 S&W.... (Which I later converted to 357 SIG). Glocks are very fine carry handguns...

Chris

Tom Givens also carries a G35. I think his comment when leaving the 1911 was, "the 1911 is a one or two bad guy gun in a three or four bad guy world".

Here's his carry rig from JM Custom Kydex Tom Givens Package - Glock 34/35 (includes 2 mag pouches): JM Custom Kydex

I like Tom Givens, he really has a way with words. He is one of the best civilian instructors that I know.
