I was looking at Mitchell Mausers and was wondering what the quality of them are?

I was interested in one of their "Tanker" rifles in 30-06 with a long eye relief scope as a general purpose rifle. I like the looks, but have questions regarding the reliability and accuracy. I've seen very few of them on the store shelves, and I've never shot one, so I have nothing to compare it to.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to the various replies I hope to receieve.

Keep away from Mitchell arms there stuff is not good. Tanker Garands are fake. You want a scoped garand check out www.James River armory. Also www.762mm firearms. These boys have some nice forged M1a rec. which they make here in Ohio. Chris and Nate over 762mm make nice rifles and there own Hammer forged rec. Top notch!!!!!! I highly recomend them. The James river armory makes nice stocks and refinishing, rebuild of U.S. weapons. Springfield armory is junk compared to these boys rifles.

Hello. I know nothing of Mitchell Arms' Mausers or fake Tanker Garands. Is quality lacking in assembly or are the firearms themselves in bad shape?

Thanks in advance.

Best.

I have seen some Mitchhell arms in bad shape and people trying to sell them as originals. Tanker Garands were never made other than proto-type by U.S. Government. Short welded Op-rods and shorter barrels have caused problems.

There is nothing wrong with Mitchell's Mausers. These are 2 that I purchased a few years back. Both of them are impeccable, and very accurate, well functioning shooters. If you want the facts on Mitchell's Mausers you would serve yourself well to talk to actual owners of the weapons, not people who simply spread Internet nonsense. Bill T.
