Thumbs Down ammotogo.com - serious disappointment

.
placed an order with these sleezballs in December - my credit card was IMMEDIATELY processed for the $ amount of the order

then I get the "we're busy - expect delay" email and the date of getting my order out is delayed for an additional month

I really don't mind SO much about having to wait for the product but what pisses me off is the fact that ammotogo already has my money and I've got nothing but 2 emails - to me this is shoddy business

I'll NEVER use this Texas-based company again and I suggest all who read this consider going elsewhere for their ammo

add : Oh, forgot - I called them and offered to drive over and pick-up my order & would forfeit my shipping cost (which they've already taken) - the reply was "can't allow it" - that tells me that the batards (oops, a misspelled word !) don't even have my ordered product in stock !!!!!

I've done business with them in the past with no problems, but that was before the current buying frenzy. I went over to their website and they have a pop-up that says they have real time inventory, but due to shipping there is a 22-24 DAY delay, and aren't taking walk in orders. Quite frankly, this smells to me. When I worked a small business, nobody warehoused that much inventory, incoming shipments came on a monthly (or weekly) schedule, and FedEx & UPS would come by either on a regular schedule or on demand to do pick-ups.

You paid with a credit card and they haven't provided the product in a reasonable time frame, so contact the credit card company and dispute the charges (if you want to cancel the order). Sometimes just threatening a company with this will get them off the dime.

thanks for the reply - ya know, I'm gonna do just that - I'm calling and disputing the bill

on edit : called the credit card co - they said I should call ammotogo and request that my order be cancelled - then, if they refuse to do so (and refund my $s) give the card company a call back and they'd go from there.. will update

edit of my edit : called ammotogo and they were, this time, accomodating - said the order, in the full amount, is cancelled - THANKS NUCLEAR

Just checking, but is the name of the place "ammotogo" or ammunitiontogo" and you are calling it that for short?
I've bought from "ammunitiontogo" before. I'd just like to know if it was them or someone else.

I've ordered from "Ammunition to Go" (ammunitiontogo.com--out of Brenham, Tx) for a number of years and have had good service and prices.

I do think that the current "frenzy" has a lot of vendors in a bind trying to keep up with little or no replenishing of stock and a mass amount of orders. I'm not making excuses for any vendor(s)---just an observaition across the board with parts and ammo. As soon as somenthing is posted "in stock" it's gone.

Respectfully
Kyle

.
I believe they go by both (ammotogo & ammunition to go) - all their correspondence is "ammotogo" - for instance : sales@ammotogo.com

and, by the way, I called them - again - and they've cancelled my order (at my request) and I've received an email from them (sales@ammotogo.com) that they'll be crediting back my $s

I'll not use them in the future

Not a box of 9mm or 223,380,45acp,40sw or even 30-30 or 30-06 to be found in a 50 mile radius of here.

My eyes have Bugged out!

This frenzy has had people turn their spare ammo into some serious cash. ammo and parts in my neck of the woods are nowhere to be found, even Wally world is having some problems keeping stock. I"m just going to have to go slow on my target shooting, except for my .22.
